Our History
The firm was established in 1880 and until 2014 we worked out of premises in Highbury, North London. We are now located in Hertford, Hertfordshire where we operate from large, purpose-designed premises housing our state-of-the-art printing and binding machinery including a new PUR binding machine.
The move to Hertford enables us to offer the latest innovations in bookbinding whilst maintaining our long-established commitment to high quality, personal service.
Our experienced and professional staff work for members of the public, including students from some of the country’s leading universities, as well as a wide variety of companies operating in a diverse range of services including; print, publishing, design, construction, banking, television and modelling.
All our work is carried out to individual specifications and with our unrivalled wealth of experience we can offer help and advice in choosing the best materials and styles of bindings to suit individual clients’ requirements and budgets.
We are happy to bind one book or thousands; it doesn’t matter how big or small the order is every job is completed to our exacting high standards and delivered on time.
The move to Hertford signals an exciting new chapter in the history of Bookbinders of London. Centrally located in Chambers Street we are within easy access of Hertford Town Centre, mainline railway stations and motorway routes.
